Welcome to Day Five!Â
Mighty as the prayer of one individual can be, it cannot be compared with the possible results when two or more pray in agreement. There is strength in unity. This strength is compounded in the spiritual realm. Joshua said to the children of Israel “One man of you shall chase a thousand…” (Josh 23:10) But Moses declared that “Two put ten thousand to flight” (Deut 32:30).
Perhaps the most dramatic illustration of the power of united intercession in recorded in Acts 12. Persecution had reached the zenith of intensity. King Herod had killed James, the brother of John, with the sword. Then Peter was taken into custody, and was waiting a similar fate.
But in the meantime, a company of prayer warriors gathered in the home of Mark’s mother to continually intercede for the apostle. “Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. (Acts 12:5)
 Now we come to one of the greatest secrets of prayer. Just as a radio transmitting system can amplify the human voice so that it can reach over the whole world, so the power of the Spirit can amplify our feeble human efforts and make them powerful enough to move mountains
